Status Update: Production Continues, Sample En Route!

Hi, everyone!

This is just an update to check-in. No new news right now. We are in production and awaiting the sample which we expect to arrive within the next week or so. Once it arrives, we will be back with some photos to share!

BackerKit has soft-closed. You can still access and adjust your pledge using your original survey link.

If you haven't filled out your survey yet, don't panic! We encourage you to get it done as quickly as possible, but this delay will not endanger or delay your pledge unless you leave it until closer to the fulfillment date.

June Status Update: White Box Samples, Playmat, & Color Proofs Approved!

Welcome back, recruits! 

We are excited to share with you today the samples we received, reviewed, and have approved for white box, color proofing, and the playmat. We approved earlier this month and everything is well underway. We expect production to be complete by the start of September. This means we are a tiny bit behind schedule as the factory is working through a backlog due to the COVID shutdowns over the last few months. We expect fulfillment to be in December as a result.

May Update: Starting Production Steps & Expectations

Happy May, recruits!

Thanks to all of you who have finished your BackerKit Survey. We are still waiting on about 12% (~370 of our recruits) to finish their survey. Please do this as soon as you can!

How are things going?

Awesome! We've reviewed all the files and sent them off to the factory to begin the initial steps of the production process! It begins with the factory reviewing the files and giving us any feedback they have before creating the color proofs and white box samples. 

About the timeline:

We are still working toward hitting our original delivery date but things are still in very early stages to be firm on any hard dates today. We plan to give you a more official timeline once we get the color proofs & white box in hand and give approvals to produce the initial full sample. This process is already a little delayed due to COVID shutdowns, but nothing majorly impactful so far. We anticipate some delays in the coming months as we hear news of new shutdowns for China related to COVID, and will communicate any impacts to schedule as we discover them or any other unforeseen delays.

Pledge Manager Launching This Week! Smoke Test Sbout to Start.

We're back, recruits! 

It's time to send out backer surveys! We have decided to go with BackerKit for this project so please check out the information below! 

BackerKit Launch:

A small percentage of backers will be sent surveys first as an initial "smoke test" of the system. Barring any issues, the remainder will be sent soon thereafter. 

Smoke Tests will start today. For those who are unfamiliar, these go out to 5% of the backers to make sure everything is operating properly in the surveys. We will be sending out the rest of the surveys once we confirm that there are no hiccups.

If you want to adjust your pledge or add on any additional items, this is your chance!  Everyone who pledged for at least $1 during the campaign should see the option to "switch your pledge level" when you start your survey.

Your payment for shipping, and any additional items you added, will be collected this week.
